Two Ukrainian universities will become associated partners of the ATHENA alliance
On 30 November ATHENA Executive Board, represented by the Rectors of all 9 partner universities, approved the inclusion of two top-ranked universities in Ukraine – the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” and Lviv Polytechnic National University as the associated partners of the alliance. This decision will be followed by signing the Memoranda of Understanding.
The invitation to join the alliance was based on existing successful collaboration with several ATHENA partner universities (including Vilnius Gediminas Technical University – VILNIUS TECH).
ATHENA is willing to contribute to the support for higher education institutions in Ukraine and facilitate recovery and coping with the consequences of the Russian invasion by offering active collaboration within the format of the alliance.
The associated partners will benefit from all the study opportunities and research infrastructure developed within the alliance and targeted at students, staff, industry and other stakeholders.
