In low rise urbanism this is not serious problem but, what about this in high or medium rise urbanism? Often high-rise urbanism has a great scale or monument. Can we get medium density urbanism and no forget domestic scales? Is this possible? how we can get it?
From 50 years ago TEAM X architects show us the way. Using in-between spaces, variation into series developing, grades and hierarchy into a vertebrate structure (like their Clusters Theory), they got it those years, but Postmodern, Deconstruction, or Chaos Theory, hidden us their achievements. Nowadays TEAM X theories resurged and we can find how recent planning trough all Europe are applying same principles on urban quarters and blocks with very good results.
Results that show us how we can get domestic urban spaces in medium density, and how transitions and in-between spaces serve as climate control from own users. Medium and high-density planning that also serve to get efficient and sustainable settlement to save energy (compact and domestic architecture).
