Wishing to AF and KIF graduates upon completing their studies – create a happy society
Today, at the third diploma awarding ceremony, students from the VILNIUS TECH Faculties of Creative industries and Architecture, both first and second-cycle graduates, moved their tassels to the left side of their caps.
VILNIUS TECH rector Prof. Dr. Romualdas Kliukas wished the graduates courage and the ability to continue breaking stereotypes as they close the doors of the university and open new ones leading to opportunities.
"In life and work, you will face new challenges and choices, new technologies, new knowledge, but I know one thing – our university has prepared you enough to overcome all difficulties," wished Prof. Dr. R. Kliukas.
Congratulating the graduates, the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Lithuania, Simonas Kairys, wished the young people to inspire society for change.
"According to the recently published Happiness Index results, Lithuanian youth are the happiest in the world. This reflects how this young generation feels and lives. However, on the other hand, there is another side of society, which you should inspire with optimism, a sense of freedom, and happiness. You will have to set the direction in which the Lithuanian state should move," said the Minister of Culture.
Other guests at the event also congratulated the future creators – adviser to the Minister of National Defence of the Republic of Lithuania, Kamile Seraite-Gogeliene, chairman of the Vilnius branch of the Lithuanian architects' union and Architecture faculty alumnus Andrius Baksys, and director of Culture bridge, Aleksandras Brokas.
After distributing the diplomas, the new VILNIUS TECH alumni were congratulated by Architecture faculty students Dovile Mazeikiene and Anna Khomchenkova, and Creative industries faculty students Anna Zakopailo, Mohamad Ladki, and Kristupas Kazakevicius.
"During our studies, we faced many challenges – the library became our second home, and we often assessed our life choices. All this was to achieve the best result. In the end, we succeeded, so let’s pause for a moment and be proud of ourselves. Moving forward, let’s apply the lessons we’ve learnt and use the friendships, connections we’ve made during our studies," encouraged alumna Anna Khomchenkova.
The third VILNIUS TECH diploma awarding ceremony was crowned with the important symbolic tradition of moving the tassel on the cap and impressive performances.
On Thursday, diplomas will be awarded to graduates of the Faculties of Environmental engineering, Civil engineering, Electronics, and Mechanics.
June 20 (Thursday):
11 a.m. – Ceremony for the Faculty of Environmental Engineering and Faculty of Civil Engineering.
3 p.m. – Ceremony for the Faculty of Mechanics and Faculty of Electronics.
