VILNIUS TECH Orientation Days for international students
On 29 August – 4 September, Orientation Days for incoming international students are taking place at Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VILNIUS TECH).
This year, 250 exchange students will start their one or two-semester studies at the University. The majority of students come from France, Spain, Italy, Germany and Ukraine.
The biggest number of Bachelor’s degree students will be studying at the faculties of Fundamental Sciences, Electronics, Mechanics and Business Management, and Master’s degree students – at the faculties of Fundamental Sciences and Business Management.
In total 489 degree students are starting their studies at VILNIUS TECH this autumn. Most of them come from India, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Turkey and Belarus.
Most Bachelor’s degree students have chosen the study programmes of Information Technologies, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics and Robotics, and the biggest number of Master’s degree students will study the programmes of Information Systems Software Engineering, Business Leadership, Industrial Engineering and Innovation Management, Information and Information Technology Security.
Over a 100 of students from Ukraine has joined Bachelor’s and Master’s degree studies at VILNIUS TECH. Most of the students have joined faculties of Fundamental Sciences, Electronics and Business Management.
The Orientation Days are filled with presentations on University and Vilnius city life, study process and leisure activities, as well as tips and recommendations, to ensure a safe and pleasant stay in the country. Students have a great opportunity to meet Faculty coordinators and mentors.
The presentations and meetings are complemented with a wide range of cultural events such as Welcome Picnic, Lithuanian Cultural Evening, Guided City Tour, Freshman celebration, Trip to Trakai.
Orientation Days for international students are organised by VILNIUS TECH International Relations Office, Erasmus Student Network (ESN VILNIUS TECH) and International Studies Centre.
