VILNIUS TECH "LinkMenų fabrikas" invites students to join an international winter school of sound and vision
Vilnius Gediminas Technical University's (VILNIUS TECH) Creativity and Innovation Centre "LinkMenų fabrikas," invites students from multimedia and computer design, creative industries, and related study fields to participate in the international winter school of "Sound and Vision 2.0: Immersive music video creation".
The winter school will take place from November 13 to 24 (remotely for the first week and later on-site at VILNIUS TECH "LinkMenų fabrikas"). The main goal of the winter school is to record songs and live performances of young Lithuanian music bands. Participants will work in mixed, international teams.
The winter school will last two weeks – the first week will consist of remote activities. Participants can expect interactive lectures led by VILNIUS TECH lecturers and creative industry professionals, as well as group work. During the second week, all participants will work together on-site at VILNIUS TECH "LinkMenų fabrikas." The winter school will run at a full-time pace on working days, making it an excellent short-term practical opportunity for students.
Topics of the winter school
The main school topics will include camera work (movement according to the dynamics of the song's accents), direction (group performance, choice of space, movements), lighting (appropriate lighting selection according to the mood of the song, interaction of light with music and its style), sound (live performance recording, quality, and style), and editing (synchronization, colour choice, the mood of the piece).
Students who complete the entire program and present their final work with their team will receive three credits.
International Experience
This winter school provides an excellent opportunity for students to gain practical experience in an international environment without leaving Lithuania. Students will work in mixed groups with students from other European universities, and group work and lectures will be conducted in English, making it a great opportunity for participants to improve their English skills. Both bachelor's and master's students are invited to participate in the winter school.
