Vice President of Illinois Institute of Technology visits our University
On November 17, Monday, David E. Baker, the Vice President for External Affairs of Illinois Institute of Technology, visited Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VGTU).
During his visit in our university, D. E. Baker, managing Illinois University Technology Park over the last twelve years, met with Alfonsas Daniūnas, the Rector of VGTU, Antanas Čenys, the Vice-Rector for Research and Asta Radzevičienė, the Vice-Rector for International Relations.
The guest from the United States also delivered a lecture on his experiences developing innovation clusters in the sector of infrastructure services, their needs and benefits for the University, as well as how the provision of these services can contribute to the scientific results‘ commercialisation and innovations‘ promotion. After the lecture, discussions with D. E. Baker were held and all participants of the event were able to discuss any scientific issue of their interest on the implementation of scientific innovations into business.
