The Times Higher Education ranking results announced: Vilnius Tech is ranked higher
The latest results of the Times Higher Education World University Rankings have been announced last week. Four Lithuanian universities are on the list: Vilnius University (VU), Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (Vilnius Tech), Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) and Vytautas Magnus University (VMU). The ranking includes 1,527 universities from 93 countries.
Vilnius Tech has moved up from 1000+ place on the list to 801-1001 segment in this ranking. According to the raking, Vilnius Tech has made the most progress among the Lithuanian universities and has the second-highest position in Lithuania in this ranking.
The Times Higher Education ranking is based on many performance indicators that are grouped into five areas: Teaching (the learning environment); Research (volume, income and reputation); Citations (research influence); International outlook (staff, students and research); and Industry Income (knowledge transfer).
The Times Higher Education World University Rankings is an annual publication since 2004. Among professionals, it is valued due to its applied methodology and is considered one of the most reliable tools in universities’ ranking.
