On 26 February, the Government of Lithuania declared a state emergency as a preventative measure against the spread of the coronavirus. Following the recommendations of international experts, the Ministry of Health and the National Public Health Centre strongly advice people, who came to Lithuania after recent visits to any foreign country to stay at home 14 days and monitor their health closely.

Moreover, we would like to remind you the most important information about the virus:
The symptoms of coronavirus
The symptoms of coronavirus are similar to the symptoms of flu: a high temperature, a cough, feeling short of breath and other respiratory disorders, muscle pain and fatigue. More complicated cases of coronavirus may lead to pneumonia, severe acute respiratory syndrome, kidney insufficiency or death.
Preventive measures
It is important to remember, that washing hands is the most important preventive measure against contracting virus. Hands should be washed frequently and thoroughly with water and soap for at least 20 seconds. In case there is no water and soap, use alcohol-based hand sanitiser containing at least 60% of alcohol. Also avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
