Students will check emails in the Google Gmail platform
At the beginning of this month the email-box system of students of Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VGTU) has been transferred to the Google Gmail platform. The decision reached in order to increase the functionality and accessibility of email-boxes for students. Google Gmail platform‘s simplicity and convenience for the users was also important for the decision.
The group video calls and global conference calls are suggested for the users of the new email-boxes. The email is more easily accessed by the mobile equipment. The email suggests the possibility of sharing common documents and working from a distance. Besides, the bigger capacity of 25 GB of digital memory is offered for the students.
IMPORTANT: your old letters are not transferred to the new system: you can transfer them according to the following instructions. The old email-box is operating for the next six months, i.e. till the end of July. You can access the new system by: https://webmail.vgtu.lt/ or http://mail.google.com.
