Representatives of Dezhou University in China visit VGTU
Representatives of Dezhou University (China) visited Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VGTU). A partnership agreement has been signed during the visit. The parties have agreed to strengthen the interinstitutional relationship, to organise student exchange. In addition, a possibility to design double degree programmes has been discussed during the meeting.
The guests visited VGTU’s faculties of Mechanics, Fundamental Sciences, Business Management, Electronics. The discussions focused on joint study programmes. The representatives of Dezhou University were also interested in training visits of their teaching staff at VGTU, especially in the areas of mechanics, fundamental sciences, business management and electronics. Moreover, the parties talked about admission of doctoral students from China who could apply the knowledge gained in Lithuania in Chinese education institutions.
Furthermore, the delegation from China visited teaching and scientific laboratories in the departments of Chemistry and Bioengineering, and laboratories in the Faculty of Mechanics.
The guests from Dezhou University were: the President of Dezhou University Zhao Shengcun, the Head of the Faculty of Mechanics and Electrical Engineering Sun Rujun, the Head of the Institute of Biomechanics Wang Jihua, Vice-President for International Exchnage and Partnerships Li Ning.
VGTU was represented by Vice-Rector for Academic Integration and Development prof. dr. Alfredas Laurinavičius, the Dean of the Faculty of Mechanics prof. dr. Vytautas Turla, the Dean of the Faculty of Fundamental Sciences prof. habil. dr. Rimantas Belevičius, the Dean of the Faculty of Business Management prof. dr. Jelena Stankevičienė, the Dean of the Faculty of Electronics prof. dr. Šarūnas Paulikas, Director of the International Studies Centre Birutė Tamulaitienė and Vice Director of International Relations Office Aleksandra Sokolova.
