Rector of Bialystok University of Technology visited VILNIUS TECH
On May 11th, Rector of Bialystok University of Technology Prof. Dr. Marta Kosior-Kazberuk visited Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VILNIUS TECH). She met with the Rector of VILNIUS TECH Professor Romualdas Kliukas, the Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering Assoc Prof Dr Remigijus Šalna, and Professor of the Department of Building Materials and Fire Safety Prof. Dr. Džigita Nagrockienė.
During the meeting, the representatives of the universities discussed the possibilities of expanding the cooperation in research, student exchange and visits of lecturers. The Rector of Bialystok University of Technology also visited the Applied Laboratory of Buildings, Constructions and Materials at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, where she had a look at modern laboratory equipment used by researchers and students.
As a member of Dissertation Defence Committee, Prof. Dr. M. Kosior-Kazberuk also participated at the defence of VILNIUS TECH Faculty of Civil Engineering Department of Building Materials and Fire Safety PhD student Kęstutis Barkauskas dissertation “Research on resistance to alkali-silica reaction of cement composite with metakaolin and glass wastes” supervised by Prof. Dr. Džigita Nagrockienė.
