Egyptian Minister of Communications and Information Technology visited VILNIUS TECH to discuss scientific and technological cooperation
On August 26, Egyptian Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr S. Talaat and his accompanying delegation visited Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VILNIUS TECH) to discuss potential cooperation opportunities in various technology areas.
"We see the technological advancement of Lithuania, which is backed by the excellent academic and scientific infrastructure", said Minister Amr S. Talaat during the meeting and noted that the knowledge and experience of VILNIUS TECH professors and scientists could be useful in strengthening the Egyptian technology sector.
VILNIUS TECH representatives introduced the scientific advancement and ongoing research projects in technological fields such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT) and other.
The possible cooperation areas were discussed, that included research, establishment of joint and double degree programmes with Egyptian higher education institutions, exchange of researchers and staff.
The Ambassador of Lithuania to Egypt Artūras Gailiūnas and representatives of the Ministry of Economy and Innovation also participated in the meeting.
