Annual meeting of ATHENA rectors is taking place in Siegen, Germany
VILNIUS TECH rector Prof. Dr. Romualdas Kliukas was participating in the annual meeting of the Advanced Technology Higher Education Network Alliance (ATHENA) rectors, which was taking place at the University of Siegen, on 20-22nd of September, 2023. During this meeting the Executive Board and Steering Committee members were discussing the future of ATHENA, the sustainability of the alliance activities, and the results achieved so far.
The meeting brought together the rectors from all the member universities of the ATHENA European University alliance. Executive Board and Steering Committee meetings took place during the visit in order to work on ATHENA vision and strategic goals for the upcoming phase.
ATHENA continues to pursue its mission towards further developing the European University initiative. The ATHENA Executive Board is committed to continuing the joint action.
"The future plans and activities of the alliance were discussed. We all feel the enthusiasm of the partners, the desire to work together and to achieve the set goals. We see the great importance of the ATHENA alliance in promoting the progress of European higher education and scientific research and the important role of VILNIUS TECH in this mission. I believe that the values we will create together with our partners will benefit the entire ATHENA community", – says VILNIUS TECH rector Prof. Dr. Romualdas Kliukas.
