VILNIUS TECH celebrates: the graduates of the Faculty of Business management were awarded
This week is special for more than 1200 students of Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VILNIUS TECH): the diploma awarding ceremony marks a milestone in their academic journey. The festive week began with the ceremony when the graduates of the Faculty of Business management (VVF) received their diplomas for first and second-cycle studies.
VILNIUS TECH Rector Prof. Dr. Romualdas Kliukas was excited for the graduates who can be proud of having completed one of the strongest universities in the world and whose diploma is valued in Lithuania as well as across the world.
"The VILNIUS TECH diploma you have received gives you endless perspectives, but it is also a great responsibility to your Alma Mater and your country. You will face new challenges and choices, new technologies, knowledge, but I know one thing - our university has prepareded you enough to overcome all difficulties," declared the rector.
The graduates, who acquired a bouquet of various competencies, abilities, and knowledge, were also congratulated by the dean of the Faculty of Business management, Prof. Dr. Vida Davidaviciene as well as the chairman of the Board and CEO of Citadele Bank, Ruta Ezerskiene. She wished the young business management specialists, who are now a part of a field that opens up one of the broadest career prospects, to influence Lithuania and the world with their work.
Meanwhile, the president of the Lithuanian confederation of industrialists, Vidmantas Janulevicius, addressed the graduates as future colleagues. According to him, industrialists are confident that the young generation of business and economics specialists will continue the started work and further develop the economy.
"I try to remember myself on the day I received my diploma. There was uncertainty – what’s next? And what's next will be even more interesting because your acquired knowledge in the coming decades will turn into practical work. That makes me very happy, and I want to wish you good luck and great success in implementing your knowledge. We are waiting for you," welcomed V. Janulevicius.
Two VVF graduates, Auguste Baravykaite and Karolina Kardokaite, also congratulated their fellow graduates. They thanked the VILNIUS TECH community, relatives, and fellow students who helped overcome obstacles towards achieving their goals.
"It is said that life is like a bicycle – to maintain balance, you need to move forward. So today, having completed an important stage of our lives, we are stepping into new challenges and opportunities, but this is just the beginning of a new journey. Let's be determined, curious, and not afraid to pursue our dreams," said the VILNIUS TECH graduates.
The first VILNIUS TECH diploma award ceremony was crowned with the important symbolic tradition of tassel turning on the cap and impressive performances.
Wednesday – the second day of diploma awards. Diplomas will be awarded to the graduates of Antanas Gustaitis aviation institute, Transport engineering, Creative industries, and Architecture faculties.
